Vacuum Emulsifier

Achieve “Silky” Texture for Body Lotions, Toothpaste, and Premium Sauces

Why does some local Whitening Cream feel rough on the skin, while the imported Japanese brand feels like silk?

Last month, a cosmetic startup in Bangkok asked me to audit their line. Their lotion was separating after 3 months, and customers complained it felt “heavy.” I looked at their mixer. It was a standard jacketed kettle with a paddle.

You cannot make luxury cream with a soup pot.

To get that “absorbs instantly” texture, you need to reduce the oil droplet size to below 2 microns. You need High-Shear Force under Vacuum. If you mix in the open air, you whip thousands of micro-bubbles into the lotion. It looks white, but it’s actually oxidized foam.

Here is the engineering breakdown of the ZJR-Series, the machine that turns raw ingredients into shelf-stable profit.

Description

1.The Physics of “Shear” (Not Just Mixing)

0-3000 RPM Homogenizer | PTFE Scrapers

A standard mixer pushes ingredients around. The ZJR tears them apart.

  • The Stator/Rotor Gap:The bottom homogenizer spins at 2900-3000 RPM. The gap between the spinning blade and the fixed ring is microscopic.
  • The Result:When oil and water pass through this gap, they are subjected to hydraulic shear. The oil is smashed into nano-particles. This is why your Mayonnaise or Night Cream becomes glossy and stable.
    • The “Dead Zone” Killer:High-viscosity products (like Toothpaste or Sunscreen) stick to the walls. If they stick, they don’t get mixed.
  • Our Solution:The outer frame agitator is equipped with Teflon (PTFE) Scrapers. They physically scrape the stainless steel wall continuously. No burnt product. No unmixed lumps.

2. GMP & Hygiene: The “Mirror” Standard

Ra≤0.4μm Polish | 316L Stainless Steel

If you are applying for BPOM (Indonesia) or FDA certification, the inspector will look at your welds.

  • Why 316L?Standard 304 steel is fine for tables. But for the inside of a reactor making acidic sauces or active cosmetic ingredients, you need 316L. It resists corrosion from chlorides and acids.
  • The Mirror Finish:We polish the interior to Ra≤0.4μm.
  • Why it matters:Rough steel has microscopic valleys where bacteria hide. Mirror steel has nowhere to hide. When you run the CIP (Clean-In-Place) cycle, the spray ball actually cleans 100% of the surface.

Capacity & Heating Guide (The “Cooling” Trap)

Heating is easy. Cooling is the bottleneck.

Model Working Vol (L) Heating Power (kW) Cooling Method Engineer’s Note
ZJR-100 100 L 6 kW Jacket Water Good for R&D or Boutique Brands.
ZJR-300 300 L 18 kW Jacket Water The Sweet Spot for SME Factories.
ZJR-500 500 L 24 kW Jacket Water Requires a dedicated Chiller.

The “Cooling” Trap:Making the cream takes 30 minutes (heating to 80°C). Cooling it down to 40°C for bottling can take 2 hours if you just use tap water in the jacket. The Reality: If you want fast cycles, buy a Water Chiller. It cuts cooling time by 60%. Time is money.

3. The Hydraulic Lift & Safety

Don’t Break Your Back

Old-school mixers have bolted lids. To clean them, you have to unbolt 12 screws.

The ZJR Series uses a Hydraulic Lifting System.

  • Push a button, and the entire lid (with the motor and agitator) lifts up.
  • You can tilt the tank to pour out the last drop of expensive product.
  • Safety Interlock:The mixer will not start if the lid is open. We value your operators’ fingers.

⚠️ Maintenance: The “Dirty Truth”

I have seen $20,000 machines ruined by laziness.

  1. The Mechanical Seal (Again):I cannot stress this enough. The mechanical seal at the bottom keeps the liquid in. It needs liquid to stay cool. If you dry-run the homogenizer, the seal cracks. It takes 10 seconds to ruin it.
  2. The Scraper Blades:The white Teflon scrapers are consumables. They wear down against the steel wall. Check them every 2 months. If you let them wear down to the metal holder, you will scratch the mirror polish of your tank. A scratched tank fails GMP audits.
  3. The Vacuum Filter:If you suck powder (like Titanium Dioxide for sunscreen) into the tank under vacuum, some dust goes to the filter. Clean the vacuum filter weekly. A clogged filter means weak vacuum, which means bubbles in your cream.

❓ FAQ: Questions Factory Owners Ask Me

Q: Can I process Toothpaste (High Viscosity) in this?A: Yes, but the standard motor might struggle. Toothpaste is very thick (>100,000 cps). We need to upgrade the Scraper Motor to a higher torque version. Tell us your viscosity before you order.

Q: Do I need a steam boiler?A:

  • For ZJR-100/200: Electric heating is fine.
  • For ZJR-500+: Electric heating is too slow for 500 liters. Steam is instant. If you have a boiler, always choose Steam Heating.

Q: How do I add perfume or sensitive ingredients?A: Do not add them at 80°C. They will evaporate. Use the vacuum to suck them in when the temperature drops to 45°C. The machine has a specific port for “Trace Ingredients.”

Q: What is the difference between “Total Volume” and “Working Volume”?A: The ZJR-300 has a total volume of about 350L, but you can only fill it to 300L. You need headspace for the boiling action and the foam. Never overfill. You will suck product into the vacuum pump and destroy it.——This is the industry standard for 2026.
